I Remember Mama
For many women living in a nursing home or assisted living facility, Mother’s Day can be an especially lonely occasion. You can change that! This coming Mother’s Day, honor your mother, grandmother, or their memory by having a flowering plant delivered to an older woman living in a long-term care who might not otherwise be acknowledged on this special day.
Throughout the year, Ombudsmen, a program of Alliance on Aging, protects the rights of 1,800 of the most vulnerable seniors who reside in our local nursing homes and assisted living facilities to investigate complaints including abuse and neglect. They also advocate for quality care and treatment of our most deserving citizens. Many of these seniors are without family or friends to speak on their behalf and often the Ombudsman is their only visitor from the outside!
Please brighten the day for a special lady and support the good work that Ombudsman does on her behalf.
In addition to our precious donors, an extra special Thanks goes out to our local sponsors that have made this event possible:
How Your Gift Helps
A gift of any size will support our mission to provide services “to sustain an ever-evolving community network of viable programs that foster long and healthy living.”
The Alliance on Aging provides free or low-cost services to more than 5,000 seniors and their family members each year. While many services are partially supported through grants, with your help, we can continue to ensure that all who need it will receive our assistance.
